What happens to the details you send
This website is run by Joshua Higgs Joinery. It only collects what you choose to send through its two forms, and that is only used to reply to you.
The quote form
When you ask for a quote, the form collects:
- your name and postcode, and a phone number or email address (or both)
- the type of job, rough sizes, when you hope to start and how you’d like to be contacted
- your description of the job and any photos you add
These are emailed to us and kept in the website’s private admin area so we can reply, arrange a free measure and prepare a quote. Your photos are stored privately and can only be opened by us, signed in to the website’s admin area.
The review form
A review collects your name and town, a star rating and your review. We read every review first. Once we approve it, your name and town, rating and review are shown on this website.
How your details are used
- Only to reply to your enquiry or review, and to quote for and carry out your job.
- Never sold, never shared for marketing, and you won’t be added to a mailing list.
- Kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or job, then deleted.
Where it’s kept
The website and its forms are hosted by Netlify, which also keeps a copy of each quote request and emails it to us. They process your details only so the site can work. To block spam, the forms also keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address for about an hour.
This website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is remembered in your own browser, and on a phone, closing the contact bar is remembered until you close the website.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete anything you’ve sent, or have a review taken down, at any time. Contact us on 07780 002077 or email info@joshuahiggsjoinery.com.
